Agfa HealthCare Strengthens IT Strategy by Extending Offering to Integrated Care

Agfa HealthCareAgfa HealthCare has announced a strategic alliance with My Personal Health Record Express Inc., taking a 27% equity stake, as part of its move into the Integrated Care market. "The combined technologies, expertise and people of both companies create a unique and leading Integrated Care portfolio.", states James Jay, Global Vice President, Agfa HealthCare.

As a first step both companies have created a patient centric and agile portal for Integrated Care that can be used by care providers ranging from single facilities to large regional deployments. Additional functionalities will be added to the portfolio in the upcoming months and will be demonstrated at upcoming industry events such as HIMSS 2016.

Today, Agfa HealthCare is one of the top players in the European EMR market and a global leader in enterprise imaging solutions. Building on its strengths in the imaging domain, acute care and regional care Agfa HealthCare launched a growth initiative for Integrated Care. The entry into the Integrated Care market is part of Agfa HealthCare's long term strategy to expand its offering for Healthcare IT on the global market.
