The clinical study called "Virtual Reality Games combined with normal rehabilitation are an effective alternative in MS patients" by the Eugenia Epalza Basque Multiple Sclerosis Foundation and the Department of Neurology of the University of Navarra will be presented at the 8th World Congress for Neurorehabilitation in Istanbul, Turkey. The results obtained from the trial show a significant improvement in various body functions of the patients especially in static and dynamic balance, fatigue levels and in their level of functional independence.

Facing rapidly rising costs, a third (33 percent) of European hospitals are reporting operating losses, generating negative earnings after tax, according to a new nine-country study released by Accenture (NYSE:ACN). Agfa HealthCare has successfully implemented three of its wireless DX-D 30C Retrofit DR upgrade solutions at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. The solutions were procured through the NHS Supply Chain. An Agfa HealthCare customer for over 7 years, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital and community based healthcare to around 365,000 people living in East Durham, Hartlepool, Stockton on Tees and surrounding areas and part of Sedgefield.

The HIMSS Europe Governing Council invites nominations for three vacancies on the HIMSS Governance Council for a three year term to begin on 1 July, 2014 and end 30 June, 2017. Submissions must be submitted no later than 31 May 2014.
