IBM Rolls Out Innovative Healthcare Management System for Spain's Castilla y Leon Region
IBM (NYSE: IBM) and Telvent Global Services have entered into a multi-million euro agreement with Castilla y Leon Government to improve management of the province's healthcare centers. The transformation of Castilla y Leon's healthcare centers back office will allow for greater communication among primary care centers, specialized care centers, and emergency and central services allowing the healthcare system to run more efficiently, providing improved care for the local community. 
InterSystems Corporation announced that States of Guernsey Health and Social Services Department (HSSD) have gone live with key foundation elements of its island-wide Electronic Health and Social Care Record (EHSCR). Guernsey has replaced its SWIFT Patient Administration System after 13 years of use, and simultaneously implemented new Accident & Emergency (A&E) and Theatre software. 
System C Healthcare has won a contract from Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for its maternity information system. The order follows close on the heels of a successful go-live for the company's Medway Maternity software at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. 
iSOFT Group Limited (ASX: ISF) - Australia's largest listed health information technology company today announced the implementation of the latest version of its Lorenzo electronic patient record solution at NHS Bury Primary Care Trust (PCT) in Lancashire. NHS Bury went live on 3 November with iSOFT's Lorenzo Regional Care 1.9. 
Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHI) and Achmea Health, the largest healthcare insurer in the Netherlands, signed a five-year agreement to cooperate in the development of innovative care solutions aimed at increasing the independence of chronic patients. The initiative will focus on enabling chronic disease sufferers to better manage their health at home, reducing the need for hospital stays. 
CSC (NYSE: CSC) recently announced that their 1,000th GP practice has implemented a new electronic health records system, delivered under the NHS National Programme for IT (NPfIT). The system, part of CSC's strategic primary care solution, is called SystmOne and is developed by TPP.
