Rochester General Health System to Upgrade CARESTREAM Vue PACS

Carestream HealthRochester General Health System (Rochester, N.Y.) is upgrading to the latest version of CARESTREAM Vue PACS to streamline the hospital's reading workflow and accelerate the delivery of radiology reports to on-site and off-site clinicians - including those using mobile devices.

"This upgrade will equip our healthcare system to continue to expand our diagnostic radiology services with a reliable, high-performance infrastructure that will help enhance patient care and meet the needs of our physicians and hospital staff," said Charles O'Brien, Manager, RIS/PACS, Department of Diagnostic Imaging, Rochester General Health System.

The latest generation of Vue PACS offers a global worklist, easy access to prior imaging exams and advanced reading tools that are accessible to all radiologists regardless of their location. These capabilities enable healthcare systems to streamline reading and offer faster report delivery for STAT and standard cases, as well as after-hours exams. Carestream's Vue Motion zero-footprint, Web-based viewer provides easy access to imaging data and patient information by clinicians anytime, anywhere.

"We continuously upgrade our Vue PACS platform with new features that enhance productivity and deliver greater convenience and flexibility for clinicians, referring physicians and radiologists. We also deliver an upgrade path to the latest generation of technology to maximise our customers' original investment," said Jeff Fleming, Carestream’s Vice President of Sales and Services for Healthcare Information Systems.
