HIMSS Europe Webinar: Revolutionizing Healthcare in Denmark

Around the world, telemedicine and telecare, are key healthcare technology trends. There is a current focus on concepts such as self monitoring and patient empowerment. Denmark is one of the leading countries in this field. In recent years, there have been a number of projects aimed at assessing the benefits of using these kinds of technologies within hospital and homecare environments.

In August 2012, the healthcare authorities in Denmark launched a national strategy for telemedicine. The action plan focuses on chronic diseases, wound treatment and telepsychiatry. The anticipated benefits of the projects are cost savings, productivity and improved quality.
