conhIT 2018: The stage is Set for Dialogue and Innovations from the Health IT Industry

conhIT 201817 - 19 April 2018, Berlin, Germany.
Finding out about and supporting all aspects of the digital transformation of the healthcare system: that is what this year's conhIT, Europe's largest event for the health IT industry, is all about. From 17 to 19 April, in addition to the exhibitors who will present their products and solutions on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, leading politicians, authors and experts will actively contribute to the debate on transforming healthcare.

Preparations for conhIT 2018 have reached the final stages. Around 570 exhibitors are waiting to present their innovative products and solutions to the expert audiences at the event. This year's conhIT will set a new attendance record for exhibitors again. "conhIT gathers patients, doctors, hospitals, health insurances, administrations and third party suppliers, overall the industry's most important players. It is this dialogue with our customers and partners that is very important to us. Many of our projects would be inconceivable without wide-ranging partner networks," is how Arndt Lorenz, managing director of Telekom Healthcare Solutions, a Gold Partner of conhIT, explained what makes the fair so attractive for exhibitors.

This year, in order to provide an even better 'feel' for IT and its potential for the healthcare system, in addition to product demonstrations and simulations the smart robot ’Pepper’ will also be taking part. Thus, conhIT is expanding its range of topics to include patient care which Jens Spahn, the new federal health minister, has labelled one of the important challenges of the near future. He is due to visit conhIT on day one of the event. His speech at the opening event is keenly awaited, in particular against the backdrop of the topics he has already pinpointed.

As this year's keynote speaker at the opening event, Christoph Keese, a journalist, publisher and book author, will provide visitors with an insight into the world of Silicon Valley. Furthermore, over the three days of conhIT, numerous experts will debate every aspect of transforming healthcare at podium discussions, forums and the workshops as part of the programme of Congress and Networking Events.

The opening event of conhIT will take place on 17 April 2018 from 1.30 to 2.30 p.m. in Congress Room A (Hall 1.2).
