The Biotechnology Business Exchange (BBE) is the annual 'speed dating' event run by UK Trade and Investment, for UK companies to meet and do business with international players in the Life Science industry. It will be taking place on Monday, 8 December, marking the start of the International Life Science Forum.

The 2008 e-Inclusion Ministerial Conference, to be held in Vienna from 30 November until 2 December 2008, is the biggest e-inclusion event ever organised in Europe. Around 1200 delegates are expected to enjoy the comprehensive programme covering the e-Inclusion field, with 6 plenary sessions, 20 parallel sessions, 10 workshops and more than 90 exhibitors. 
Putting the success of the two events in a nutshell, Wilhelm Niedergöker, Managing Director at Messe Düsseldorf, has concluded that despite the worldwide financial crisis MEDICA and COMPAMED have confirmed their leading rank as the World Forum for Medicine. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the founding of the National Health Service (NHS) in Great Britain. Over the past 60 years, investment and innovation in the service has transformed healthcare delivery and, as a result, the NHS has been seen as a model of healthcare service world-wide.
