EuroscienceThe programme of the 2nd Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF2006) is now available online at www.esof2006.org. Participants can select from over 70 seminars, symposia and workshops taking place during July 15th-19th 2006 at the Forum am Deutschen Museum and the Deutsches Museum in Munich, Germany. Registration is possible through the official ESOF2006 website as well as on site during the conference.

Internet for all: EU ministers commit to an inclusive and barrier-free information society

A pan-European drive to use information and communication technologies to help people to overcome economic, social, educational, territorial or disability-related disadvantages was endorsed by ministers of 34 European countries in Riga (Latvia) yesterday. "e-Inclusion" targets include halving the gap in internet usage by groups at risk of exclusion, boosting broadband coverage in Europe to at least 90%, and making all public web sites accessible by 2010.

EPIST Brokerage Event

The event will take place on 13th of July, from 13:30 until 17:30, in the room UC5, University of Linz, Linz, Austria during the 10th International Conference on Computers Helping People with Special Needs (ICCHP).

Participation in the brokerage event is free of charge. Participants are, however requested to register for the ICCHP 2006 CONFERENCE either for the day only or for the full conference duration (see link above). An exception is made for NMS and ACC participants that are interested in the EPIST brokerage only; these participants do not need to register for the ICCHP 2006 CONFERENCE.
