The e-Newsletter Meeting the Challenges in Healthcare IT Across Communities is now online. In the run up to the inaugural World of Health IT Conference & Exhibition to be held in Geneva 10 - 13 October, an issues-based e-newsletter has been launched.

The World of Health IT Conference & ExhibitionFor the first time in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, representatives from all spectrums of the world of health IT will come together (10-13 October, 2006) in Geneva, Switzerland.

The World of Health IT Conference & Exhibition is a new concept for the healthcare community. Bridging the gaps between public policy and the realities of day-to-day implementation, The World of Health IT has been designed for and by the healthcare IT community in Europe, the Middle East and Africa - be they buyers, vendors, technology users, providers or healthcare regulators.

ImageSince 2003 the European Commission consistently supports the organisation of eHealth High Level Conferences as a successful way of fostering best practices exchange between European policy makers, experts and other stakeholders in eHealth; as well as a unique dissemination opportunity for innovative processes and implementations.

The first of these conferences took place in Brussels (Belgium), 22-23 May 2003, while the city of Cork (Ireland) hosted the second eHealth Conference, 5-6 May 2004. The third edition was organised by Norway in the city of Tromso, 22-23 May 2005.
