The Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, the European Commission and HIMSS Europe officially announced the themes of eHealth Week 2016 in Amsterdam. Empowering People, Trust & Standards and Social Innovation & Transition will be the three main topics which will be addressed during the three day conference in June.

Samsung has launched the next generation of the S Health app, which provides users with more interactive and easy-to-use health functions. The updated app will also include compatibility with non-Samsung Android devices.

Grants4Apps® is supporting early stage startups working on highly innovative hardware and software solutions for healthcare. Since August 2015 Grants4Apps® has the second batch of five global teams in its program. They were selected out of 215 applicants and have since made heavy progress on their products and business models.

19 - 21 April 2016, Berlin, Germany.
The planning for the conhIT in April 2016 is in full pace. In comparison to last year, there are a higher number of registrations for the Industrial fair. The Congress program is taking shape. Amongst others there will be emphases on IT in care, mobility and Apps, IT strategies and IT management, as well as intersectoral networking.

16 - 19 November, Düsseldorf, Germany.
Being a significant change, from 16 to 19 November Düsseldorf 2015, the world’s largest medical trade fair, MEDICA, and the international leading supplier specialist trade fair, COMPAMED, which is taking place at the same time, are going to start. From this year on, both events will run over the course of four days in parallel to each other, being held on the new weekdays from Monday to Thursdays.

21 - 22 October, Odense, Denmark.
The European Telemedicine Conference, presented by Badalona Serveis Assistencials, HIMSS Europe, NHS 24, Norwegian Centre for Integrated Care and Telemedicine, Odense University and UPMC ended in Odense with an invitation to join the conference next year in Oslo where the Norwegian Centre for Integrated Care and Telemedicine will be the host.

The European Telemedicine Conference (ETC) and the Week of Health and INNovation (WHINN), are for the first time held together in Odense, Denmark this week - a city gathering of some of Denmark's most interesting activities within robotics and health tech.
