System C Wins 'Best Company to Work For' Award

System C Healthcare plcThe 2010 Best Companies accreditation scheme has found 'outstanding' levels of employee engagement at System C. Workplace engagement has been identified as one of the key drivers behind sustained business performance.

"We are delighted to win recognition that we are serious about looking after our most important asset - our people," said Jane Conner, System C's director of human resources. "It is particularly important that we work hard in this area because System C's employees work in so many different client organisations, and often under high pressure."

The company has also grown very rapidly over the last 18 months, with the numbers of employees rising from 211 to 378 in the year to December 2009, Jane Conner added.

The Best Companies scheme sets out to give an unbiased and authoritative view of a company's employee engagement by analysing the views of its own employees.

The research measures eight key factors of engagement under the headings 'my manager', 'leadership', 'my company', 'personal growth', 'my team', 'giving something back', 'fair deal' and 'wellbeing'.

Some 1,086 organisations entered the 2010 scheme. Of these, 410 were given an award and 140 received the 2-star 'outstanding' status.

"Our aim is to be the employer of choice in health and social care IT, and we are thrilled that our success in meeting that aim is being recognised by our own people and by the Best Companies judges," Jane Conner said.
